I love my work as Indigenous Costume Designer and Builder. I am constantly learning and creating working relationships with my fellow Indigenous Artists and Creators.

I love the work I do for productions with Cultural Respect. On Bones of Crows, I worked directly with Doreen Manuel and was able to rent her original and one-of-kind, 1930’s hand-beaded Cree Regalia that was once her Grandmother’s. I worked with Master Powwow Regalia Maker Bernard Chantyman and we ensured that our Day 1 was perfect. I rented some pieces from Pacific Opera in Victoria, thank you Sandra! And about 8pm the night before, I asked Yolonda for a fringe dress….she nailed it. Tleko tleko Sugiit Lukxs. Lisa Meeches and her DaughterNiece join our Prep team, she literally saved me. Lisa arrived with two sewing machines in hand and support team, she knew I needed her. Tleko tleko Lisa, forever in my heart. We stayed up all night, getting it done, custom regalia for several cast. I do hope Lisa gets her patent to her moccs pattern! #nike It took a village to make this scene, we all stood together! #stoodis
